The call to holiness is often understood as the preaching of a message proclaiming the total work of Christ in making men holy. Surely this is important and necessary, for "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." (Romans 10:17) However, the "call" is not only speaking and hearing, but also involves living the life.

The call to Holiness is a call to righteous living.


• It is a call to treat one another as God has treated us.
• It is a call to show love and kindness when needed.
• It is a call to speak to others with respect and consideration
• It is a call to forgive as Jesus forgave us.
• It is a call to deny ourselves and take up our cross.

Holy living is quick to hear and slow to wrath.

May God help us to not only be hearers of the Word but doers as well.

It is written, "Be ye holy as I am Holy."
(1 Peter 1:16)
